In June 2011, Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company (formerly known as AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company) and Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC created Equitable AgriFinance, LLC (formerly known as AXA Equitable AgriFinance, LLC) as a joint venture to originate and service agricultural mortgage loans for Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company. Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company and its affiliates have provided financing to agriculture since 1912. Aegon USA Realty Advisors, LLC and its affiliates have been originating and servicing agricultural mortgage loans for its Aegon and Transamerica affiliates since 1995.
In October of 2016, Equitable AgriFinance and Pacific Life Insurance Company reached an agreement to have Equitable AgriFinance originate and service agricultural mortgage loans for Pacific Life. Pacific Life joins Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company as funding sources for Equitable AgriFinance’s program.
Steve Noonan - CEO
Steve joined Equitable AgriFinance in 2011. He is a member of the Executive Board and also manages a team of loan officers. Steve joined Aegon USA Realty Advisors in 1989 and is currently the Senior Vice President in charge of their AgriFinance Group, a position he has held since 1999. Prior to his current role, Steve was a Senior Director in the Commercial Mortgage Loan Origination Group overseeing the Central U.S. Region. Prior to joining Aegon, he worked at Principal Financial Group as a Commercial Loan Officer. Steve is a graduate of Loras College with a degree in Finance.
Mike Martin – President
Mike joined Equitable AgriFinance in April 2015. He is a member of the Executive Board and also manages a team of loan officers. Mike spent the previous 17 years with Rabo AgriFinance/Lend Lease Agri-Business, focused in part on the management of Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company’s agricultural loan portfolio. He has over 30 years of agricultural lending experience with insurance companies and banks. Mike graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and he is also a graduate of Purdue’s Krannert Graduate School of Management.
Ken Hibbard - Senior Vice President
Ken joined Equitable AgriFinance in 2018. He is a member of the Executive Board and also manages a team of loan officers. Prior to 2018, Ken spent 11 years with Rabo AgriFinance and was involved in the management of Equitable Financial Life Insurance Company's agriculture loan portfolio from 2007 to 2011. He has over 20 years of agriculture lending experience with insurance companies, banks, and the farm credit system. Ken is a graduate of Oregon State University with a degree in Crop & Soil Science. He also earned an MBA from George Fox University.
Mike joined Equitable AgriFinance in 2011 and is a member of the Executive Board. He began his career at Aegon USA Realty Advisors in 1994. Mike has been with Aegon’s AgriFinance Group since 1999. From 1994-1997, he was in their Commercial Mortgage Loan Origination Group. Mike is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa with a degree in Real Estate Finance.
